For my Small Scale Research project, I am studying animation. Specifically, looking at different styles of animation, and why companies use them. Below is the title for my presentation script:
Why did Pixar Animation Studios use the particular computer generated animation style found in Toy Story (1995, Dir. John Lasseter)?
I chose this as the focus question for my project because it allows exploration of different animation styles, and I can explore the ways in which they are used and why. I chose Toy Story as my focus film because, as a film in the '90s, it was a huge step forward in animation and technology in film.
